Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas ★★★½

A bizarre, episodic hallucination of a movie where pointlessness feels like the actual point. Terry Gilliam's trademark style of directing enhances the atmosphere to the extent that it feels like a completely absorbing drug trip across the roads of Nevada. One of Johnny Depp's most iconic roles.

I haven't read the book, but maybe I should in order to be able to judge this film based on more than just one sober experience. Though I also feel like one should see Requiem for a Dream right after this.
