"So you're telling me you made a porno where the plot is the point?"
So laugh-out-loud funny it hurts. For some reason, the comedy really stuck with me: the dead-pan delivery of Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling, one of the most perfect buddy comedy pairings of the last decade, is hilarious and exciting.
Director Shane Black transports us into Los Angeles of the 1970s and creates a gorgeous-looking, fast-paced and well-written crime comedy that doesn't betray the viewer's intelligence and is also extremely enjoyable to watch. I can't believe I underrated this one so much upon my first viewing.
