I have not seen enough westerns yet, so here comes my quest to remedy that mistake.
Letterboxd' statistics tell me that I have seen exactly 100 westerns, which isn't a low number at all, but lots of those are films I have seen many years ago, or even as a kid with my dad, so a number of rewatches will be part of this project as well. Expect a selection of classics and modern neo-western genre entries too, as well as several films bending the formal definitions of the classic "western", since I will try to bring as much variety and diversity to this list as possible, including some female-directed films and westerns from different countries.
I have a separate (private) list on LB with about eighty possibilities to choose from for this project already, but feel free to shoot up your suggestions anyway, as the western genre includes so many hidden gems I have never heard from before that I find it difficult to keep track of all of them. (theriverjordan's Western list served as an excellent point of reference for me, as well.)
