    Dial M for Murder

    ★★★★★

Do you really believe in a perfect murder?

Dial M for Murder is simply a genius work. There is mostly one location which conveniently becomes a place of murder planning and its execution. And from the very beginning till the very end you will be seeing this place exclusively with the characters trying to outwit each other. And what makes this film so great is a complete subversion of one’s expectations. Almost nothing turns out just like the characters want it…

It's pretty strange that we keep running into each other.
It is strange. Maybe it means something.

This one is pretty easy. I consider this a masterpiece without a doubt. When I first saw it, I was in awe. Everything just clicked and since then I completely fell in love with La La Land and Damien Chazelle. His duo with Justin Hurwitz is extraordinary and I think of all films they've done together, this one is the most…

    The Hunting Ground

    ★★★

Here is the experience of seven hundred survivors, and unless something happens, it's not going to change.

The Hunting Ground tells a sad truth about the United States college system that systematically conceals any rape accusations, thus encourages the rapists to commit more assaults. And the worst thing about it is that it's extremely hard to prove that it wasn't consensual which resulted into many people involved with said colleges denying everything that was said in this film. But the…

    I Know That Voice

    ★★★½

Well, that's just that voice. Yeah, but did you ever stop to think that there's actually a guy in a room reading that?

I Know That Voice gives an insight into the profession of a voice actor and pays tribute to the titans of the industry, like Mel Blanc and June Foray. It talks about different pros and cons of being a voice actor and how each of the interviewees got into the profession. It doesn't say anything that new in particular, but many will be thrilled to see a person who was behind the voice of their favorite character all this years.

    The King of Comedy

    ★★★★

The King of Comedy blurs the line between real life and fantasy completely and also explores a creative mind of one eccentric individual. The film uses obsession as a driving point of the story and makes you sympathize with an antihero in some way. Throughout the runtime it shows numerous sequences that have a pretty clear meaning, though some of them are left up to one's interpretation.

Robert De Niro shines in this role and portrays a subtle shyness excellently.…

  • A Clockwork Orange

    A Clockwork Orange

    ★★★★

A Clockwork Orange explores a human's violent nature and what it takes to suppress it. It is so brutally disturbing and uncompromising that it was cut before the re-release and released in its initial form only ten years later. Malcolm McDowell's performance is the driving force of the story and an attitude to him swaps back and forth between infuriating and appealing.

Kubrick utilizes music extremely well and creates a whole new level of association with some of the compositions.…
