While I was really distracted during this film as I have now been for multiple Koreeda films, Maborosi was still an incredibly potent film with one of the most memorable scores I’ve heard in a while, fantastic cinematography and visual motifs and perhaps an all timer ending.
Kore-Eda’s filmography is one I’m going to have to revisit entirely at some point, because I really don’t have a good grasp on his films.
