Found this when scrolling through Disney+ (UK). First viewing and I found it pretty entertaining.

It didn’t quite reach the levels of 28 Days Later (2002) but it is a decent sequel.

I was quite surprised by the quality of the cast, some big names. Idris Elba probably being underused in his role.

The opening scene in the farmhouse sets the tone. I read that this scene was actually directed by Danny Boyle as the second unit. He isn’t actually…

This is very much a slow burner. But, I really enjoyed it.

The story is great as are the characters and performances.

I'm not normally a big fan of English or American actors doing foreign accents but other than Willem Defoe's, I think they worked in this.

The film builds up to the ending, which seems out of context from the rest of the film, but conveys the lack of trust and conflict that occurs between various government agencies.

I have been looking forward to watching this for a while.

It is good but didn’t quite reach the heights I was hoping for…maybe I was expecting too much.

There were no real scene stealing moments that you come to expect from an Arron Sorkin screenplay. It is a very solid film but nothing spectacular.

The performances are good across the board…for me Sacha Baron Cohen as Abbie Hoffman was probably a stand out but also a bit too much…

This started well but kind of lost its way a little.

The opening 20-30 minutes were pretty enthralling and interesting. I think once the old trope of USA vs Russia/cold war re-hash kicked in it got a little tiresome.

Michael B. Jordan is good as always as John Kelly. Some of the locations are good and the action scenes are well done.

It is entertaining enough but maybe goes on for a bit too long.

Definitely not a must watch but if you're a fan of Michael B. Jordan, Tom Clancy or espionage/conspiracy/action it is probably worth a watch. Just don't expect too much.
