EVERYONEYOULOVEISDEADTOBER FILM 41/666
This is the film that made me understand Brian DePalma's style. Some might say he's parodying Hitchcock here, I say he understood before most that Hitchcock movies were funny. This has gotta be one of the most, if not THE most, well made exploitation films ever. SIAMESE TWINS! THE HORROR! The godly Hermann score sells it so well. The split screen suspense sequence used here should have been a stock filmmaking technique by now, I think it's more effective than cross cutting. Finley and Kidder are hoots and with some solid Quebecois accents. Peeping tom gameshow? The Africa room? DePalma, you are a card.
