can you believe there was a time i denied my love for rom-coms??

realised after a second viewing that this wouldn’t be a bad film if it weren’t for the god awful cgi villain

  • Paddington

what salary is mr brown on to be able to afford a 3 story, 4 bed house in central London??

  • Duck Butter

one review said that this is the wlw equivalent of Before Sunrise which is absolutely not true. this feels lazy and self serving, a film which is ultimately caught up in its grandiose ideas about love and relationships.

also someone shits in a frying pan then smears it on a window. Richard Linklater would not subject us to that.

  • Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

    Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle

honestly i never thought there would be a sequel to the childhood nightmare that was jumanji. also didn’t think i’d ever see jack black play a teen girl getting an erection???

  • Hot Summer Nights

    Hot Summer Nights

    ★★★

the pacing and editing is really weird; the first and second half feel like completely different films but honestly  i can’t stop thinking about sharing a lollipop with Timothée Chalamet.

  • Justice League

    Justice League

    ★★

the best thing about this film already is the little boy who asks superman if he’s ever fought a hippo.

  • Sweet Home Alabama

    Sweet Home Alabama

listen, this film is confederate apologism hidden (albeit badly) under layers of homophobia, classism and sexism however that joint account move was a power play and a half.
