First time watching this shocked me a little, I wasn't expecting a slower paced film from Tarrentino. I think of his work as dialogue heavy and action packed, so to have plenty of filler -driving shots, characters getting on with daily life- seemed jarring to me. Happy to disagree with a lot of the negative reviews surrounding this film. I thought there was great vision, the cinematography and editing was consistently superb, the needle drops were evocative (This Modern Love in particular took me somewhere beautiful and heart-wrenching) and the acting was brilliant. Rosamund Pike and Richard E Grant were excellently cast and for me, a particular joy.
