Filmmaker Five: Ena Sendijarević on Take Me Somewhere Nice’s Influences

To celebrate the US release of Take Me Somewhere Nice, the film’s writer-director Ena Sendijarević has carefully selected five movies that directly inspired her bold, funny, and endearing coming-of-age dramedy. Take Me Somewhere Nice premiered in the Tiger Competition of the 48th International Film Festival Rotterdam, where it won a Special Jury Award for extraordinary artistic achievement. The film also won the prize for Best Feature at both The Sarajevo Film Festival and The Seoul International Women's Film Festival.
