Still processing it, so forgive the lack of rating. It's much more ambitious and wider in scope than Get Out. It's unsettling, but I'm not sure it completely sticks the landing. But I will say that the more I think about it, the more horrifying the movie becomes. If Get Out was about the fear of black bodies being appropriated by white people, then Us goes a step further arguing our very identity is built on the systematic exploitation of others. And the true fear is that those exploited have every right to enact their vengeance upon us. These thoughts are still premature, a second viewing seems almost necessary to fully grasp this.
