Oh, Britta's in this?
This movie reminded me a lot of Godzilla vs. Kong (GvK). I didn't really care at all about any of the scenes that featured Millie Bobby Brown, but I really loved the scenes that featured the giant ape, or the blood-curdling monster, respectively Henry Cavill and Helena Bonham Carter. Like GvK, you can see the twist coming from a mile away, unfortunately in this case the twist is some British procedural drudgery and not a 466 foot tall mechanized titan.
This is the most meta movie of all time; because in order to enjoy this movie you have to join a cult. It's a cult that believes something that's absolutely insane, they believe that this is a good movie. The cult lures you in by saying that you are smarter and more sophisticated for liking this film, even though it's nonsense and there is nothing to like about it. If I could give this negative stars I would.
