I'm giving this the same rating as the first one, but it have to be said that this is a bit more fun. The scope is bigger, the effects a litte gooier and we get a dude in a demon-suit instead of a creepy doll. Also, we're treated to a pretty sweet disco-song in spanish (performed by mexican pop-star Tatiana, who is one of the leads).
Entertaining stuff.

Vacation of Terror 1989
Mexican haunted house-flick that offers pretty much the standard stuff, done on a what I guess is a very low budget. Acting, editing - well everything really - is a bit hokey, but there is lots of charm here and the setting is pretty good.
Best thing about the film is the character of Julio, a deadbeat occult/horror-enthusiast. I can relate.

Girls Nite Out 1982
Pretty much everything I want from an 80s slasher is found in this film.
The fact that I saw it for the first time after 35 years of watching slashers, with quality finds getting rarer by the year, may have something to do with the love I feel for it.
But love it is, nevertheless. -
Alison's Birthday 1981
Alison's Birthday is a pretty predictable but well made little demonic cult-flick with decent acting and a nice paranoid atmosphere. Starts and ends with two very memorable scenes. Good stuff!
