Cole Crump’s review published on Letterboxd:
Koyota and the little boy peeing are the best characters in the film. They make the film so great. The action in the film is also fantastic, especially the last 50 minutes or so. The early action from the opening scene to the starving woman and what the Lord does with the family are pretty hard to stomach, really unsettling to watch. I can't tell if that is a good thing or bad thing yet. The ending is pretty fantastic, it is your typical the odds are against us, let's fight together and die together mentality. Super fun, super brutal. let's face it, samurai are just the coolest people to ever walk the Earth, they have an 18/10 rating on my badass scale.
