Steven Casey’s review published on Letterboxd:
Lord Summerisle would be proud of Ari Aster and Florence Pugh. This will be remade 20 years from now and it will star Nicholas Cage running around and punching a bunch of Swedes.
I dreaded the 2hr 20m running time but by the time the credits rolled it left me wanting more. The deliberate pace serves well the richness of the story and its mysteries, its building dread, and its denoument. Forence Pugh's Dani has certainly gone on an epic journey. The cinematography and soundtrack are amazing and ethereal. This is what an hallucinogenic surreal indie-horror movie should be, are you listening, vastly overrated Mandy?!?
