Tooley I Am King’s review published on Letterboxd:
Popstar is this generations' "Spinal Tap". It may not aim for high-brow humor most of the time, and half the film might be assorted cameos, but my god, that was entertaining.
The Lonely Island are what allow Popstar to succeed. These guys have such great chemistry with each other and are so clever in their songwriting that it's almost impossible not to have fun while watching this. Not all the humor sticks, but the slick social commentary and memorable characters make up for the losses.
I definitely suggest this one. It's some good, lightweight fun. Connor4Real yo!
