Shack’s review published on Letterboxd:
Marriage Story has such an unabashed and often visceral realness to it it's almost impossible not to be moved by it. Adam Driver and Scarlet Johansson both put on an incredible performance as the two halves of a partnership in the throes of falling apart. In fact, the film is absolutely stuffed with great performances from some fairly big names and great performers but never at the expense of feeling 'crowded'. Marriage Story is as much a dive into how a relationship can evolve under pressure as it is one of how a relationship can fall apart. I'd imagine that every individual could feel something different when watching this movie depending on your own personal experiences with love, life and divorce but I'm sure they'd all be equally as powerful. I'm giving this one a big ol' stamp of recommendation - get it watched!
