I always like seeing footage, from any era or time, of real people expressing their ideologies and perspective on life in a specific moment in time. That being said it’s both interesting and depressing that nothing has changed (at all) since the early 90s.

I’m slightly torn on how much I liked/disliked Robert Downey Jr as a documentarian/interviewer à la Eric Andre or some Jimmy Kimmel skit. His attempt to delve into politics and the world of wokeness came off as a bit shallow, with the film achieving nothing incredibly notable or engrossing by the end other than fake woke points for RDJ.

man those last ~30 minutes are heartbreaking. you can see when he goes to that bulls vs knicks game that he wants to be on that court, he envies those he once played with in high school. he’s desperately trying to reach out to Melo and Joakim for some sort of connection but he has nothing to offer and they don’t desire any relationship anymore with a regular guy who works at Mcdonalds, they don’t have time for him. internally…

Part of the SXSW 2020 lineup available on Prime Video, this documentary attempts to explore the loneliness, hate, and self-loathing of young men in the digital age but fails to at every single corner.

It’s difficult to find a purpose within this. I would have been interested in a movie that explored the incel psyche, but instead it was filled with weirdo trolls who enjoy making people upset on twitter, and nothing more. Super unfocused and just gave these people…

It’s honestly hard for me to get into TV shows but I never had that problem with Breaking Bad. It’s really one of the few, if not the only show that resonates with me even after all these years. So when they announced El Camino I was ecstatic, of course, but after watching it, I just don’t think it really needed to happen and I could have easily lived without it. In fact, I might even prefer it that way.…

Bergman was truly masterful in his shot composition and cinematography. He knew exactly how to convey emotion to the audience in a way that makes it look so easy yet still so genius
