  naturally, it’s disappointing when a film that wants to be this bold with immersion lacks the finesse to perspire rich themes into its atmosphere. it fails on all ends to provide a story that is remarkable, and it’s ironic just how lifeless it can be when the plot is so invested in exploring human complexions at its core.
