David Marsh’s review published on Letterboxd:
Question: What happens when you put Harmony Korine, Cliff martinez and Benoit Debie in the same room?
Answer, a hypnotic, dreamlike neon soaked extravaganza. Like an episode of Spring Break MTV uncut, Spring Breakers is quite literally an amazing piece of work. The cinematography and editing are immense while the audio blows you away. The larger budget and household stars on the casting sheet certainly allow for a more accessible film, but as events unfold and spiral out of control this is recognisably Korine. While we can enjoy the ride the messages are there. Sexy, brash, offensive, divisive and ridiculous. Yes. Go with it. Spring Break forever.
