Damian’s review published on Letterboxd:
A film that lived up to the hype, without a doubt the best screenplay I’ve experienced this year. Gorgeous visually and thematically whilst perfectly blending drama with comedy even if i wouldn’t necessarily call it a rom-com. While it’s easy to be irritated by Julie and several of her decisions —in many ways i can’t help but relate to her many fuck ups and it’s also what makes her an endearing focus of the film. The performances are excellent and on a technical level the film is flawless. It also takes some plot turns that I didn’t see coming but admired. Great film and easily one of my favourites this year. Really need to see more of Joachim Trier’s work because I’m very impressed.
