My grandparents took me to see this in the cinema (after I insisted this was what I wanted to see) and I have a very clear memory of being so freaked out during the assassination scene that I cried until they took me out and we went in to another screen to watch something else.
I just did the maths and I would have been SIX YEARS OLD. What was anyone thinking? Me included. A slow Star Trek movie that quotes Shakespeare and is a metaphor for the end of the cold war?
A joy to revisit this and find that it rules so hard.
