Wilson’s review published on Letterboxd:
The Double Life of Veronique remains a fascinating and enigmatic film, even on rewatch its opaque 90 minutes remain as hazy as they did on first watch. However, this time around I did not connect the way I did when I first saw it, I felt held at a distance, the storytelling felt less profound than vague. It remains a fine film, with a beautiful visual sweep and a really wonderful Irene Jacob performance, but it did not feel like the masterpiece I had always felt that it was. Maybe I need to rewatch it again. Maybe my double liked it more last time.
