Some Voices ★★★★

A pre-Bond Daniel Craig gives an impressive performance as schizophrenic Ray in this drama from Simon Cellan Jones, who directed him in the TV classic Our Friends in the North. After being released from his psychiatric hospital, he moves in with his brother Pete (David Morrissey), who runs their deceased father’s restaurant. He also meets and falls in love with the pregnant Laura (Kelly MacDonald). It’s an entertaining watch, largely due to the likeable leads and there are amusing and tense moments as Ray tries to live with his condition in the real world.
