Carnival of Souls ★★★★

Eerie, creepy and experimental. Dated, sure and the organ music turn annoying but the impact and the influence this film had on horror films can not be wiped under the carpet. There are images here - though easy in execution and direction - that leave more mental scars on your brain than newer and better looking films. It’s crudeness is what make it stand above it’s competition. See the long version too if you can.
