Summer Interlude

"Summer Interlude" is truly a better title than the Swedish one as this feels like the perfect interlude between the old studio-bound Bergman and the auteur who finally finds his own voice and path. Here, we get a leading actress bitter and torn from a life of a lost nostalgic lover and an incestous secret with a twisted creepy "uncle" that turn to her own hate against God and religion. Bergman found his true self here.
