A Milestone for Atmospheric Horror.
Rosemary’s Baby is of the utmost importance in being an introduction to the world of modern horror. It’s influence is immeasurable, reaching far and wide in not only its themes, but its overall filmmaking too. Similarly to The Exorcist, the film is treated more like a dark, off-putting drama than a straight-out horror. But then with almost a flick of a switch the final 20 minutes roll around, all your expectations are blown away and there is absolutely no denying that this is indeed the authentic, shit-scary horror classic that will live on forever.
