I didn't jump once, but I did have quite a few hearty laughs. Still manages to pack a powerful message about facing one's fears and overcoming, and I look forward to the sequel.
Better than Into Darkness, yet still doesn't manage to live up to the 2009 film. I was pleased to see a lot of the other crew members get more screen time, like the late Anton Yelchin's Chekov, and John Cho's Sulu. The action set pieces are spectacular as always, but I really felt Idris Elba's Krall was a wasted opportunity. He was too flat, too stereotypical to be interesting or new.
Disney has always impressed me with fluid animation, but only recently have they impressed me with the messages in their movies. Zootopia is an extremely fun watch that brought out my inner kid. It's funny, beautiful, smart, and emotional, and on more than one occassion, all of these at once.
