Still an absolute blast on rewatch, but all of the technical and design elements of this thing are the true standouts here for me. Steve Yedlin’s photography has so much texture and depth. He’s probably the best in the business in regards to shooting digitally right now. Jenny Eagan’s costumes are gorgeous. They’re all so specific to their characters, but they’re all still pleasing to look at. Just every single element of production and design in this thing is beautiful. There is genuinely tremendous work anywhere and everywhere you look in this picture, and I think that’s worth celebrating as much as the ride.
