Haven’t watched this in well over four years or so, but I really resonated with it this time around. Love is such a scary concept. Opening up to someone and allowing the possibility of heartbreak is something that I feel everyone has been afraid of at least once, if not countless times in their lives. I’m scared of it right now after going through the roughest break-up of my life. It’s easy to think you may never be able to…

The Batman 2022
The Batman has been my most anticipated movie of the year and, as with every other film I’ve seen from Matt Reeves, it delivered on every mark. I got major Batman: Year One vibes throughout, and I definitely think that story fits what Reeves was trying to accomplish here. Bones and All 2022
I totally could have seen this being nominated for best director, cinematography, or score. But to have no nominations so as not to win anything—what a waste!

Pet Sematary 2019
I will say, this one doesn’t hold back on gore and keeps a very unnerving tone from start to finish. I’m a sucker for that stuff.
The consistent feeling of dread throughout the story, whether subtle or in your face, certainly worked for me and left me wanting to watch Hereditary for a third time. That alone makes this worth seeing again soon.
Also, John Lithgow is awesome. Just wanted to put that out there for anyone that wasn’t already aware.

Call Me by Your Name 2017
This was my third viewing. I watched it on my phone this time. I cried some and had to hold back more tears so my family wouldn’t notice me sobbing in front of my phone.
I still can’t quite put my finger on which part of me loves this film so much, but trying to understand and explain it in a review won’t do my thoughts any good. I’m afraid that would only lessen the true extent to which they reach.
I’ll just put it this way: I’ll probably be watching this again tomorrow and the next day and so on.
