Oliver Matheson’s review published on Letterboxd:
Narratively this ended up being a letdown, but ultimately it is saved by Jackson Hunt’s terrific cinematography. The Standoff at Sparrow Creek promises some Tarantino-esque cramped “who is the mole” style drama, and delivers during its first half, but is too reliant on unbelievable scenarios that writer/director Henry Dunham tries to pass off as realistic to create meaningful character motivations and ultimately limps to the finish line. But even when the plot loses steam the cinematography never lets up, and every frame gives you something fascinating to look at, something I did not expect from a film like this.
