Danny’s review published on Letterboxd:
I get what it’s going for and appreciate it and the visuals are actually kinda cool despite how fake they look. I like the self aware parody style of 80s action movies and culture and the nonsensical plot sells the stupidity even more. It’s kinda well made in some ways (mainly visually) but honestly when you lose the seriousness of the cheesiness it makes it a little less appealing for some reason, not to mention that it’s way less funny. I get the humour in this short film but it’s not my kind of thing: it’s just kinda cringey to watch for me personally and feels like it’s appealing to kids who think everything extreme is hilarious. Still I didn’t mind the filmmaking at all but the rest wasn’t exactly my thing I guess.
