Dan Marinara’s review published on Letterboxd:
Jojo Rabbit is the newest film by Kiwi delight Taika Waititi, and is about a young German boy in WWII who is completely wrapped up in the Nazi culture, until he finds out his mother is harboring a Jew and his world gets shaken.
Everyone in this is amazing, almost everything about it is amazing, but I should stop myself there, honestly I wanna get into all of the nitty gritty with this one, why I loved it, why I think it’s Waititi’s best, why I think everyone should see it but I feel like I’d ruin some of the magic. I knew next to nothing when I walked into that screening today and I couldn’t have been happier with the result.
If you wanna laugh and cry simultaneously then you have no excuse not to check this out at your nearest convenience. Here’s to you Taika, we love you!
