Daniel Aronskind’s review published on Letterboxd:
A lot of beautiful things I saw while reading what others thought, but something I didn’t see a lot of is the theme of addiction. Obviously there are the explicit addictions we all know and associate with the word, but there’s another that’s so brutally
honest by Almodóvar. An artist’s addiction to turning their most cherished memories into work, despite the fact it may disappoint their loved ones or ail them physically. One of the most beautifully put observations I read was the illustration of the art one creates reaching the person it was made for, no matter how long it takes.
