Dan Stewart’s review published on Letterboxd:
This is a really, really, solid buddy crime adventure. Kind of a Blues Brothers "us against the world" road trip with De Niro and a very understated Grodin. I must say that the second half of this is absolutely fantastic, but it almost seems like the first half isn't using the dynamic between the two leads to its advantage, especially the fact that Grodin doesn't bother to try to escape at all, which is one of the best recurring gags later on.
The final action sequence in the airport is super thrilling and the conclusion is aces. I think for the most part, the comedy needed to be punched up, but the overall structuring and ultimate resolution is very solid.
This'll be in rotation in the future for sure.
