Ok so if I'm gonna be perfectly honest with my opinion on the MCU Spider-Man I just gotta say it's my honest thoughts. So by MCU standards this film is a blast and really is entertaining as hell....but by Spider-Man content when it comes to Other films/Video Games/Comics/Animated TV series this whole MCU interpretation is a tad bit weak. So by MCU standards I gotta give this a 4.5 rating but with Spider-Man Content this is a 3.5-4 on my rating scale. But since I love both the MCU and content with Spider-Man in general...I'm gonna go with the more positive route. This film is directed by Jon Watts and stars Tom Holland,Jake Gyllenhaal,Zendaya,Samuel L. Jackson, Jacob Batalon,Jon Favreau,Marisa Tomei,Cobie Smudlers and Angourie Rice in this film that isn't perfect but is still a very entertaining watch. Now I need to get my big positive out NOW.....Jake Gyllenhaal as Quentin Beck/Mysterio is one of my favorite things to happen in the MCU....he was just perfect in this and he nailed his role as Mysterio and put out quite the performance. Mysterio as a character is written in a way you wouldn't expect but it's handled so well in here. This film is a great follow up to Avengers:Endgame and it really sets the stage in some ways for what the future of this MCU could look like. Tom Holland once again shows that he is a great actor to portray Peter Parker/Spider-Man and I feel like they really did more with this character in here then all of the other appearances and....it was just really fun to see the direction this film went in. The CGI and action scenes were great for the most part although some CGI was a bit odd at times. There is a sequence in here with Mysterio and Spider-Man.....and it's gonna be talked about quite a bit and it's my favorite scene in the whole film but throughout the whole thing my jaw was just on the floor. MJ (Zendaya) and Peter Parker's (Tom Holland) relationship and dynamic was just really done well here and was very fun to watch....and it felt very real to me. One thing I feel like people aren't gonna talk a lot about is Jon Favreau's performance as Happy in this film and oh my lord he added so much heart into the film with his little screentime and I actually almost teared up during one scene. The pacing was very balanced and I think this film had the perfect flow. This whole film is just very entertaining......and I really gotta give it to everyone who worked on this cause this was a very well done film....still I think there is more potential that could've been reached but as a whole this film will certainly be enjoyable no matter what and I highly recommend you check this out in theaters cause I think it's worth the 11 bucks.
