Darren Carver-Balsiger’s review published on Letterboxd:
An entirely different film to the original. Gone is the unrelenting suspense and terror to be replaced with dark humour and a goofier tone. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 is pretty entertaning all the through and the chaotic, unexplainable nature of the original is still intact however I missed the suspense and terror. By itself, the sequel is just a mildly scary and decently satirical movie but it feels far more messy and unfocused than the 1974 original and ultimately detracts from the original's legacy rather than adding to it.
