dartagnan’s review published on Letterboxd:
A reasonable adaptation of the book with some great performances from Isaac AKA Nat Wolff (tragically underused though) and the dad AKA Sam Trammell, the latter bringing me the closest I got to tears in the whole film. Maybe I was all cried out from watching The Green Mile?
Anyway, it's well-done, but it didn't blow me away. Also I thought Augustus was cockier here, but maybe I bleeped over that in the book.
Shailene Woodley continues to impress, particularly with her ability to have a proper cry on demand.
