Spotlight ★★★½

Spotlight was released in 2015 and was directed by Tom McCarthy. This movie won the academy award for best picture in 2015 deservedly so. This movie has an incredible cast with the likes of Mark Ruffalo, Michale Keaton, Rachel Mcadams and a few more main cast members.

This movie is based on a true story about this group of journalists and media team called Spotlight, who work on a case regarding the Boston police area for crime against the Church. The group of journalists all work tirelessly and collectively to investigate all possibly leads to gain information which they can publish to help being justice to those who were wrongfully abused by the church. There is some great contrasting methods and ideologies used in the movie by the different journalist in order to figure out how they can best use there time and resources to publish the story. This movie has great acting, and some good dialogues as well as being an interesting story, I was gripped to the story and was interested in seeing how it played out in the end.

Overall I’d rate this movie a 3 and a 1/2 ⭐️ I would highly recommend this real life, drama story all about the group of journalists working to bring down the Church’s poorly ran system.
