    The second Theatre Macabre is a big step up from the first, with a story that allows them to make something like a comedic episode of the Twilight Zone. It’s probably helped that they’re adapting Mark Twain, who knows a thing or two about efficient storytelling.

    Also it’s a western for some reason. Not sure if that’s part of the original story, but seeing a Polish take on the genre (Pierogi Western?) was interesting.

    The first of the Theatre Macabre episodes, and it’s actually more of a lurid love story than a chilling horror tale. Which is an odd choice for an anthology series with intros by horror icon Christopher Lee, but I’m guessing there was a political reason this Polish production had to launch with an adaptation of a Russian author.
