    Eli Hayes's "Toxicity" is an impressive piece of experimental filmmaking from a very prolific filmmaker. With this film, Hayes takes an impressionistic eye to the subject of self-exploration, self-obliteration, the search for meaning, for purpose, for life itself. The way he plays with images sometimes reminded me of Pipilotti Rist. He uses a fractured slow-motion image (and slowed audio as well, if I remember correctly -- both in speed and pitch).
