Though a I do feel it could have been a little tighter, and the comedy toned down just a little, this is what I want to see in a SW film. I want to see a sprawling epic, I want my heroes to be flawed and failed, I want them to learn, I want the villains to be interesting and complicated, and I want a movie in a running franchise to make a sudden turn and start driving off the road, where we haven’t been before. I didn’t need a remake of Empire, and I’m so hopeful this wont lead to another RotJ.
