A perfect opening scene followed by lots of clever, witty, smart and scary fun! As self referential as ever — often hilariously so! The kills felt a bit more bloody and brutal and I can recall from the previous films. But, a perfect reboot (or remake or…whatever you call it, even that is addressed in the film somewhere ha ha) inclusion in the Scream franchise!
Working title: generic action thriller.
Cast and crew: overqualified cast with the best writers TV has to offer.
From the generic plot fo the made-for-tv quality dialogue, this was astonishingly bad. The biggest mystery is how they attracted such talent? One star for Jessica, Lupita, Diane and Penelope. Zero stars for anything else.
The Invisible Man is fantastic and the film to beat for my favorite horror this year! More thriller than horror, this is a very well-acted, expertly-crafted, smart, tense and unnerving film! A few surprises here and there and the violence is infrequent, but sudden and shocking when it does appear. A little long at 2:05, but moves along quite nicely and rarely lets up! Definitely recommended!
