Andy Summers’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ryan Gosling manages to make both toothpicks and a satin scorpion jacket the must have accessories of 2011. Nothing is left to say about a film that has become the new cult movie to millions of cinephiles other than that it is a stunning piece of cinema. Winding Refn has delivered something unique with this neon lit L.A. noir punctuated with extreme violence. Much has been said of Gosling's monosyllabic performance but Carey Mulligan says more with a look than a thousand words from a lesser actress.
Would love to see a follow up film. Here's hoping.
