Derek Dillon’s review published on Letterboxd:
Anyone that knows me personally knows that I love movies about Wall Street. And this one is no different. Told from the perspective of the people who made it big from the 2008 housing market crash, this movie paints a picture of a corrupt system using a healthy mix of humor and drama. And if all of the fancy terms confuse you (and they will) they break the fourth wall to dumb it down for you, which may infuriate some thinly skinned viewers. Two important things to note here: the book this movie is based upon was written by the same author of MONEYBALL and we all know how great of a movie that turned out to be! Also, Adam McKay wrote and directed this movie and he brought us ANCHORMAN and STEP BROTHERS. Do yourself a favor and save up your pennies to see this once it hits theaters.
