    About midway it seemed to settle in as a spooky adventure story for kids, which, alright, if that's what you want to be, and for one thing, it'll help me overlook the made up nonsense presentation of autoimmune diseases. Then the last act reveal drops, and oh, brother.

    I just wanted to watch a quality horror movie, y'know? Had I remembered that director Foy hasn't actually made a good movie before watching this, I could've saved myself the bother.

    It's decidedly okay. Genial enough, and Rogen plays an actual character for once. Other than Rogen getting to pull double-duty in two roles I'm unsure as to why anyone wanted to make this particular movie.

    I mentally checked out when I realized I was watching a tension-free excuse to get implausible amounts of ropy, karo-syrup blood out of a bunch of non-characters in unimaginative ways during its run-time. Tipping point was specifically when a dude was digging glass out of his obviously rubber foot for what felt like five minutes. Sort of a cartoon, but not.

    Disappointing, because Fargeat does certain things well enough that I think she's a talented director. Maybe Raw set the bar so high that it's ruined me for French horror.

    There's a mundane kind of evil in the irresponsibility it took to waste so much money and public attention on this project of performative pseudo-science called Biosphere 2 (for all practical purposes a glass-shelled mall in the desert), cooked up by subject Allen and his coterie of theatre troupe dummies (I...I think I hate them all).

    As a doc it's a curiosity watch, a meat-and-potatoes presentation, with not much arc besides the chronology of actual events. The biggest surprise was…
