Me and silent films are always butting heads. Sadly this is one of those ones that I really didn’t care for.
I really hate watching people blabber on in boring shots and not being able to hear what they say. I understand we’re supposed to go off of there facial expressions, but that can only hold my attention for so long. Preformers like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton can easily hold my attention.
Lon Chaney when he was on screen was great. Especially the face reveal and the intense close up on his face. Love that shit. I could see how iconic it must have been back in the day.
Maybe one day I’ll appreciate these silent films more, but as of right now can’t be bothered.
Also totally didn’t cut off my fingers.
That was a joke.
