You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone.
It's hard not to think of this quote while watching a film featuring photography, especially when family and loss are also big parts of the plot. We can't take a picture of this and yet we do it anyway because it is soothing to think that something always remains. And even if it's gone the moment you capture it, as you try to capture it, just by keeping it in your heart and your memory, you can move forward. Looking at photographs can be bittersweet and the film really captures that, it has lots of heart and kindness which is always a nice thing in my book.
