Ross T’s review published on Letterboxd:
Worth watching to see how F Murray Abraham as Salieri acts and reacts when in a room with Tom Hulce’s Mozart. An impressive, subtle mixture of (moment to moment) disdain and admiration, jealousy and awe.
Salieri may hate the man, but his eternal love of music means that he can’t help but respect Mozart‘s talent. This, combined with frustration at his own mediocre body of work, causes internal conflict and a crisis of faith which gradually tears him up inside.
Also features a fantastic soundtrack, naturally.
