    Rosemary's Baby

    ★★★★★

ROSEMARY´S BABY is one of the greatest horror movies of all time.
This masterpiece, directed by Roman Polanski, is based in the Ira Levin´s novel of the same name about a young couple moving to a luxurious apartment in New York, the center of a diabolical covenant with an agenda.
ROSEMARY´S BABY was a big hit in 1968. The film is part of Polansky's horror trilogy set in common places like apartments. A great cast stars the film, led by…

    Suspiria

    ★★½

Some directors are too pretentious for my taste. With allegorical images, they try to sale their work to the audiences and sometimes they fail big time!
This is the case with Luca Guadagnino´s SUSPIRIA, based in the film of the same name by the great horror director Dario Argento. This new SUSPIRIA starts with a promise and very quickly enters in black territory.

    Godzilla: King of the Monsters

    ★★★½

GODZILLA: KING OF THE MONSTERS is the perfect summer blockbuster!
    It´s excitement, funny and epic.
Michael Dougherty directs this movie and captures the japanese esence of the kaiju films in movie greater than life itself. The visual effects of the film are amazing and the sound is astonishing. Also, the music, composed by Bear McCreary, is great, providing the monster with its own leitmotiv. And please, we can´t forget the excellent cinematography by Lawence Sher. Finally, after several intends, Hollywood…

How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World

    ★★½

When you have seen one, you have seen them all. We can apply this phrase the the third chapter inf the franchise of HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON.
One thing we can´t denied is the great animation work behind the film, but HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 3 look like Dean Deblois, who directed the all trilogy, is round out of ideas. It is still a beautiful movie; However, the magic of the first movie has been lost, like the subtitle THE HIDDEN WORLD.
Apparently, with a close ending, this is the last production in the franchise.
